What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture’s origin lies in Asia, especially in China. There this type of medicine has been practiced for over 5000 years to keep people from falling ill or get them back to health when needed.
In the 60’s the form of acupuncture now know as Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM, came to the west. It’s popularity slowly increasing every year, as more and more people discover the benefits of regular acupuncture treatment.
Acupuncture aims to stimulate the bodies self-healing mechanisms. Life energy, better known as Qi, flows through our bodies and helps our body and mind do what needs to be done. When our Qi is balanced, we are healthy.
With the use of needles we can have an action on our Qi and guide it towards this balance. This way, we boost the self-healing our bodies are capable of.
